Applicability of general conditions

Every order counts as an explicit acceptance of the general conditions by the Buyer. These general conditions are an integral part of the agreement as described below.
Prices and offers
The prices stated for the products and services offered are in Euros, including VAT and excluding shipping costs, any taxes or other charges, unless otherwise stated or agreed in writing. Payment can only be made by one of the methods indicated during the ordering process: Bancontact, Credit Card, Bank Transfer, PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The date of crediting of the bank account of Orthopedagoog Karel De Corte VOF counts as the date of payment. If you default on any payment, Orthopedagoog Karel De Corte VOF has the right to suspend or cancel (the execution of) the relevant agreement and related agreements.
All offers of Orthopedagoog Karel De Corte VOF are without obligation and Orthopedagoog Karel De Corte VOF expressly reserves the right to change prices. If the prices for the products and services offered increase in the period between the order and its execution, you are entitled to cancel the order and terminate the contract within seven (7) days after notification of the price increase by Orthopedagoog Karel De Corte VOF.
Acceptance of the order

Delivery
Delivery is made within and outside Europe. Ordered products will be shipped within 10 working days if in stock. The cost of delivery depends on the weight of the product ordered and the address of delivery. An estimate of shipping is displayed when placing a product in the shopping cart, the final shipping cost is calculated after entering the exact delivery address for payment.
Exceeding any delivery period does not give you the right to compensation or the right to cancel your order or dissolve the agreement, unless the exceeding of the delivery period is such that you cannot reasonably be required to maintain the agreement. In this case, you are entitled to cancel the order or dissolve the agreement to the extent necessary. The responsibility for incorrectly communicated delivery addresses lies entirely with the Buyer and may cause additional costs. If the goods are not delivered, any sums paid by the Buyer will be refunded without interest or other compensation.
Complaints
In order to be admissible, complaints must be addressed in writing to Orthopedagoog Karel De Corte VOF via info@kareldecorte.be.:
- In case of complaint for non-conforming delivery, within seven (7) days after order
- In case of hidden defects, seven (7) days after discovery of the defect.
In this written communication, you must describe the damage and prove it via a photo.
Warranty
The guarantee of Orthopedagoog Karel De Corte VOF is limited to the guarantee for hidden defects and the guarantee for consumer purchases, both provided for in the Civil Code. Orthopedagoog Karel De Corte VOF is only responsible for damage that is the result of a gross error or intent. Orthopedagoog Karel De Corte VOF is not liable for general or special indirect damage, of any kind, possibly suffered by the Buyer.
Right of withdrawal
The consumer has the right to notify the company that he renounces the purchase, without payment of any penalty and without giving any reason, within 14 calendar days from the day following the delivery of the goods or the conclusion of the service agreement. If the consumer invokes this option, he must return the goods in their original condition and packaging at his own risk and expense to Orthopedagoog Karel De Corte VOF, Diepestraat 18, 9860 Balegem. We recommend doing this with a secur shipment, so that your package is insured in case of loss.
Any return must first be notified in writing by email at info@kareldecorte.be. Unnotified returns will not be accepted. The cost of the return will be borne by the Buyer. The refund of the received amount to the Buyer will be made within 14 calendar days after written notification of the abandonment of the purchase, provided that the return has been received by Orthopedagoog Karel De Corte VOF. The Customer is liable for the depreciation of the goods resulting from handling the goods beyond what was necessary to determine the proper functioning of the goods. If the product is not returned in its original condition, the minus value will be charged and deducted from the amount paid.
Force Majeure
Orthopedagoog Karel De Corte VOF cannot be held responsible for possible delays in the execution or non-execution of our commitments due to events beyond our control. This includes: difficulties in supply or shortages of products, interruption or permanent suspension of production, strikes, lock-outs, any other form of work stoppages or collective labor disputes, energy or transportation or delays in transportation, affecting Orthopedagoog Karel De Corte VOF and/or Orthopedagoog Karel De Corte VOF’s suppliers, even if these events are foreseeable. Failure to take immediate action against a Buyer’s shortcoming can under no circumstances be considered as a waiver by Orthopedagoog Karel De Corte VOF to later invoke this shortcoming.
Personal data
Placing an order on the website of Orthopedagoog Karel De Corte VOF means that the Buyer officially agrees to the processing of his personal data for administrative purposes, including: management of the customer database, orders, invoices and deliveries, and the monitoring of financial solvency. Within the framework of their relationships, the Parties involved accept electronic proof.
Miscellaneous
If any article in these general conditions is declared null and void, this nullity shall in no way apply to the remaining articles. Orthopedagoog Karel De Corte VOF is entitled to change the contents of these General Conditions. Changes will be announced through the website.
Applicable law
All agreements with Orthopedagoog Karel De Corte VOF are governed by Belgian law. All disputes between the parties will be submitted exclusively to the competent court in Belgium. The Customer can also turn to the European platform for online dispute resolution (http://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/).
